This year has been unique to say the least, and many normal occurrences like homecoming dances have been canceled. But with a little imagination, memories can still be made and joy can be found. So with that in mind, my daughter and her bestie decided to have their own celebration. They dressed up; they did their hair, nails, and makeup; they grabbed their beaus; they had some pictures taken; and they went to dinner.
Many things in the writing world have also been canceled. But this fall, several lovely literary movers and shakers have been hosting events that brighten my outlook. There was the Fall Writing Frenzy which I shared about in my last blog. There have been numerous opportunities to win books and critiques. And currently, there is the #PBCritiqueFest hosted by the fantastic Brian Gehrlein. There are a whopping 36 critiques up for grabs if you register by October 30th.

And while you're waiting, be sure to read Tomorrow Most Likely by Dave Eggers and Lane Smith. A beautiful story about imagination, hope, and the discovery of joy in the every day moments that will most likely happen if you let them! This will definitely be my new state of mind as I claim I will gain representation Tomorrow Most Likely!
I hope you've enjoyed a brief glimpse into my week as well as my foray into the kidlit world. I also hope to see you here again next Monday.
Wishes for a week full of wonder!
