My daughter recently graduated and her father and I couldn't be more proud.
And with this monumental moment has come the inevitable walk down memory lane.
Thinking back on her love of bubbles.
Her times spent with cousins.
Our family travels.
And times spent with her friends, especially those involving sleepovers.
Which leads me to my latest library read, The Sleepover and Other Stories by Sergio Ruzzier, just one of the books in his Fox and Chick series of picture books.
First of all, how can one not adore unlikely friends like a fox and a chick. And second, the way Sergio breaks down the book into three small stories just like chapters and sets it up comic book style makes it extra fun for kids to follow Fox and Chick's adventures of an unexpected sleepover, a surprise birthday party, and a lost hammer. Kids five to eight are sure to love these endearing characters.
I hope you've enjoyed a brief glimpse into my week as well as my foray into the kidlit world. I also hope to see you here again next time.
As always, wishes for a week full of wonder!
