Christmas passed with a flurry and flutter of friends, family, and gift exchanges, but now...

We've begun a new year. We've entered a new decade. And we have innumerable options before us. It is a yet undefined time full of possibilities, and it will be what we make it.
Just like A Stone Sat Still is a book of innumerable options. The awesomely talented author and illustrator of They All Saw A Cat, Brendan Wenzel, hits another home run with this tale. The Lyrical tone of this book, which tells the story of a simple stone, shows that perception is everything. While some see the stone as a haven, others see it as a place of danger. While some see the stone as a rough place, others see it as a smooth place. And so on.

So as you look ahead, may your perceptions be full of joy, optimism, and everything incredible.
I hope you enjoyed a brief glimpse into my week as well as my foray into the kidlit world. I also hope to see you here again next Monday.
Wishes for a week full of wonder and a Happy New Year!
Aileen
