Counting is Fun
Updated: Aug 4, 2019
This past week we began counting down the days until our planned trip to Zoombezi Bay Water Park at the Columbus Zoo. We counted the number of teens we would be taking. And I took countless numbers of pictures to help us keep future memories sharp.
And when the fun was done on the day I usually post, I was just too tired to read my book on counting. But when it comes to fun counting books, a day late is still great. Have You Seen My Dragon, by author/illustrator Steve Light, is a fun book that allows the reader and child companion to count up to twenty in a most creative way. The black and white illustrations with splashes of color were fun. The story of the boy trying to find his dragon held my attention. And as I journeyed along with him, I spent extra time turning the pages in an effort not to miss any of the fantastic details. All in all, this was one of the best counting books I've read in a while, and I highly recommend it.
I hope you enjoyed a brief glimpse into my week as well as my foray into the kidlit world. I also hope to see you here again next Monday.
Wishes for a week full of wonder! Aileen
