This past weekend I attended my region's yearly SCBWI Ohio North Conference. I look forward to attending this conference each year because I always go away feeling creatively re-energized. This year was no exception.
I received a face-to-face critique with the esteemed Sean McCarthy. I sat in on an informal Q&A with Rose Mary Wells. I caught up with several friends like Rinda Beach, Angie Karcher, Peggy Harkins, and Debora Boerema.
And I finally met the incredible Tammi Sauer in person.
Not only is Tammi incredibly sweet and spunky, but she is also a talented and funny writer. She was kind enough to sign my copies of Your Alien and its sequel Your Alien Returns, but those aren't the only books in her arsenal. There are her Wordy Birdie books, her Nugget and Fang books, Princess in Training, Me Want Pet, I Love Cake, Mary Had A Little Glam, A Little Chicken, and many more.
If you're already familiar with Tammi's work, I know you agree with me when I say her books are truly exceptional. And if you aren't familiar with her work, stop reading this and immediately go to your nearest local book store or library!
