I enjoyed spending time in Fern Valley, a quiet place where neighbors are friends and family members love and support each other. Ms. Stewart's stories take us back to a gentler time and the lessons her characters learn about life, friendship, honesty, family and choices are the things we'd all like to teach our children (and maybe some adults, too!). And, once children spend some time in Fern Valley they'll be asking to make some of the delicious recipes included in the book. Yum!
